Colette is a mission-driven early childhood leader with over 20 years of experience in education management. She is committed to ensuring equitable access to safe, high-quality, developmentally appropriate learning environments for all children. Known for operational excellence and collaborative leadership, Colette brings expertise in curriculum implementation, regulatory compliance, staff development, and family engagement. Outside of work, Colette enjoys time with her son, Adarius, and their dog, Luna, especially traveling and spending time by the lake.

Kelly Zimmer

5+ Years in Early Education

Kelly began her Heartworks journey in 2020 as an assistant teacher after graduating college, and quickly discovered her passion for early childhood education. After further study, she became a Lead Preschool Teacher, working with children ages 2–4 at Heartworks Williston and Shelburne. In 2024, Kelly relocated to Western Massachusetts and joined the new Heartworks Winchester community as Assistant Director. Originally from Darmstadt, Germany, she is fluent in English and German and enjoys incorporating bilingual experiences into the classroom. Outside of work, she loves spending time outdoors with her dog, Banana.

Our classrooms are intentionally designed to support each developmental stage. Infant classrooms typically enroll up to seven children each. Toddler classrooms welcome up to nine children per room. Preschool classrooms are licensed for 19–20 children, and pre-K classrooms enroll up to 20 children. Our kindergarten classroom serves older 4- and 5-year-olds with a capacity of 20. All classrooms follow Massachusetts state–mandated teacher-to-child ratios to ensure individualized care and attention.
